AIPGMEE 2016 – All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination 2016 (For Admission to 50% MD / MS / PG DIPLOMA COURSES Seats of all India Quota)

Duration: 3years MD/MS Courses and 2years PG Diploma Courses.

Number of Seats for AIPGMEE 2016: The total number of seats available for All India Quota 2015-16 academic sessions was 5663.

Eligibility Criteria for AIPGMEE 2016

The applicant must be an Indian Citizen.

Applicant, who holds MBBS degree from a recognized Medical College or a Foreign Medical Degree included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration from either the MCI or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible to take this exam.

Applicants who have studied/passed MBBS from the state of Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh are not eligible for 50% All India Quota. However, the applicants who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible to apply for admission.

Applicant who, after passing the final qualifying exam (MBBS or the Foreign Medical Degree recognized by MCI), is undergoing 12month compulsory rotating internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by March 31st 2016 can take up this exam. Applicant produces a certificate from the head of Institution that he/she will be completing internship by March 31st 2016.

Examination Dates for AIPGMEE: December 02nd to December 08th 2015 (08.00am to 08.00pm daily)

AIPGMEE 2016 Application Form

Online Applications can be accessed and completed till 23:59 hours on October 22nd 2015.

The applicant is advised to read the Information Bulletin carefully before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank. Registration for appearing in the AIPGMEE 2016 is to be undertaken online at the website

Application form cannot be submitted in offline mode / printed copy by post; Applicants will be able to schedule their exams based on the availability of test centre on the date, time and venue of their choice.

The prescribed registration fee of Rs.2750/- (for SC/ST/PWD/ (PH) applicants) and Rs 3750/- (for General/OBC applicants) should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through Internet banking.

Applicants who are completing OR likely to complete their internship after March 31st 2016 need not apply for the AIPGMEE as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.
