All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test 2016 for MBBS & BDS Admissions
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the All India Pre- Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test for 2016 under 15 percent merit of All India Quota seats in Govt. Medical / Dental Colleges all over the country except the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir for the 2016 academic session.
The AIPMT Test is to be conducted on 01st May 2016, which is a Sunday, in selected cities across the country and abroad.

Eligibility & Qualifications for AIPMT 2016
Eligibility for 15 percent All India Quota Seats
Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India are Eligible for appearing in the All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) subject to the conditions prescribed in the Information Bulletin.
He / She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his / her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS course.
The upper age limit for applicants seeking admission under 15 percent All India Quota Seats in Medical / Dental Colleges run by the Union of India. State Government, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the State of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir is 25years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.
Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5years for the applicants of SC / ST / OBC.
a) 01st Jan 86 to 01st Jan 99 (SC/ST/OBC Category).
b) 01st Jan 91 to 01st Jan 99 (Other Category).
Applicants from Andhra Pradesh, J&K and Telangana:
a) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh, J&K and Telangana are Not Eligible for 15 percent all India quota seats as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception.
If they claim eligibility, they should upload Self Declaration, as per proforma given in Appendix – II, on a Plain Paper to the effect that:
i) They are not eligible to seek admission for MBBS/BDS seats in Medical / Dental Colleges in the States of Andhra Pradesh, J&K and Telangana.
ii) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh, J & K and Telangana.
b) Applications not supported with the required scanned Self Declaration in original or incomplete, unsigned or photocopy of the Self Declaration shall be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter.
Eligibility for seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions and AFMC:
He / she has completed age of 17years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his / her admission to the 1st year MBBS / BDS Course and is an Indian National.
Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) may also appear in AIPMT for admission in seats under the control of participating States / Universities / Institutions subject to rules and regulations of the Govt. of India, respective State Govt and the University/Institution concerned.
OCI applicants may verify eligibility norms of participating States/Universities/Institutions before applying for AIPMT 2016.
The upper age limit for applicants seeking admission under seats in the control of participating States / Universities / Institutions shall be as per their rules and regulations.
The applicant should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50 percent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
In respect of applicants belonging to SC/ST or OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying exam be 40 percent instead of 50 percent for General Applicants.
Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45 percent marks for General-PH and 40 percent marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
Those who are appearing Class XII examination in 2016 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.
Reservation of Seats & Admission in Medical/Dental Colleges
An All India merit list of the qualified applicants shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained In the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test and applicants shall be admitted to seats under 15 percent All India Quota from the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies.
Admission to MBBS / BDS courses in the seats under the control of participating States / Universities / Institutions shall be based on marks obtained in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test and other criteria decided by them.
All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the participating State/University/Institution Concerned.
