Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai Post MSc and Diploma Courses Admission 2017

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai has invited applications for admission to Post-M.Sc and Diploma in Radiological Physics (Dip-RP) Courses conducted by Radiological Physics and Advisory Division (RP & AD) for 2017 sessions.

BARC Eligibility Criteria

To the Diploma, R.P. Course is M.Sc (Physics) with not less than 60% marks in aggregate.

The basic qualification for applying to this course is M.Sc (Physics); the applicants must have scored the minimum of 60% marks (aggregate) in B.Sc as well as in M.Sc (Physics).

In the case of grade system, grade to the percentage of marks conversion scheme obtained from University must be submitted along with the application failing which application will not be considered.

The sponsored applicants must also submit a documentary evidence of availing personal monitoring service from BARC/accredited laboratories; those who await the results of M.Sc, (Physics) may also apply.

If appearing applicants are selected for admission to DipRP course, they must submit their M.Sc Degree mark sheets by 30th October 2016, failing which their candidature may be terminated.

Age Limit

The upper age limit as on 01st August 2017 – General Category 26 years, OBC – 29 years & SC/ST 31 years; or for physically challenged (PH) applicants, there is a relaxation of age by up to 10 years.

BARC Courses Selection Procedure

Selection of non-sponsored applicants is based on written test followed by an interview.

The applicants who are eligible to participate in the written test will be short-listed based on the merit and such applicants will be informed well in advance.

M.Sc (Physics) applicants who are wait listed for admission to 1-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post-Graduates for the year 2016-17 (OCES-2016) conducted by BARC Training School may also be considered.

The successful applicants will be admitted to the course only after they are declared medically fit by the BARC hospital, Mumbai.

Application Form – How to Apply?

Interested applicants must submit their applications along with a processing fee of Rs.200/-.

With regard to payment of Application Fee, the applicant may download the three fold challan from the BARC website and make the payment in any branch of the State Bank of India.

Applicants shortlisted for interview will have to produce original challan at the time of interview.

The SC/ST applicants, Dependents of Defense Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), Women applicants and Physically Challenged applicants are exempted from payment of application fee.

Applications complete in all respect must be sent to the Dy. Establishment Officer (R-II), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai-400085.

Date for Common Entrance Test (CET): September 03rd 2017 (11.00 am)

Result Declaration of CET: September 03rd 2017 (at 05.00 pm)

Date for Interview: September 04th to September 06th 2017
