CGTET 2018 Exam Pattern | CG TET Exam Pattern 2018 | CG TET 2018 Question Paper
- Questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct
- Each paper will be of two and a half hour duration and a total of 150 questions will be asked. Each question will be of one mark. There will be no negative marking on wrong answers.
- There will be two papers of the Test. Applicants qualifying the first paper will be eligible for teaching in classes one to five. In the same way, applicants qualifying the second paper will be eligible to teach in classes 6 to 8th.
Note-A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (class I to V and class VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II)
- All the questions will be asked in two languages (Hindi and English)
- The first language will be Hindi and the second language will be English

First Paper (For Classes I to V) Primary Stage
Duration of Examination – 2:30 hours
Structure and content (All Compulsory)
- Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
- Language -1 (Hindi) – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
- Language -2 (English) – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
- Math – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
- Environmental Education – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
Total – 150 Multiple choice questions – 150 marks
Second Paper (For Classes VI to VIII) Upper Primary Stage
Duration of Examination – 2:30 hours
Structure and content (All Compulsory)
- Child Development and pedagogy (Compulsory) – Multiple choice questions 30 marks
- Language -1 (Hindi) – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
- Language -2 (English) – 30 Multiple choice questions – 30 marks
Subject-based Exam (Anyone from below)
- Maths and Science(For all Maths and ScienceTeachers) – 60 Multiple choice questions – 60 marks
- Social Science teachers (For all Social Science Teachers) – 60 Multiple choice questions – 60 marks
*For Any other subject teachers Either 4 or 5
Total – 150 Multiple choice questions 150 marks
