Scholarship Benefits

Benefits of Tuition Fees, Exam Fees, and Maintenance Allowance are paid to only SC category students. Candidate family income should be less than or equal to 2,50,000/-.

The selected fellows will receive the benefits as under -Maintenance allowance is provided as per Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV per month for up to 10 months.

For Day Scholars:

  • Group I – INR 550 per month
  • Group II – INR 530 per month
  • Group III – INR 300 per month
  • Group IV – INR 230 per month

For Hosteller:

  • Group I – INR 1200 per month
  • Group II – INR 820 per month
  • Group III – INR 570 per month
  • Group IV – INR 380 per month

Additional allowances of up to INR 150 per month for SC students with disabilities.

In addition to the maintenance allowance, all mandatory fees/compulsory payable fees i.e. (Tuition Fees, Exam Fees & other Fees) by the student to the institutes are covered under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Government of India Post Matric Scholarship 2019

The parents/guardians’ annual income shall be less than or equal to Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Student category shall belong to Scheduled caste or Navbouddha

The student shall belong to a resident of Maharashtra

The student should be passed SSC/equivalent Matric.

Failure: If the student fails the first time then should avail Exam fees & maintenance allowance. If he fails the second time in the same class then he/she will not get any allowance and after two drops he will pass and go to the next class then he will be eligible.

In the case of a student studying out of Maharashtra then the same rules are applicable as per GOI.

Only 2 professional Courses are allowed.

Government of India Post Matric Scholarship Application Form 2019

Follow the below-given steps to apply for the scholarship:

  • Step 1: Click here to visit the MahaDBT portal.
  • Step 2: Click on ‘New Applicant Registration’.
  • Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number and register.
  • Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.
  • Step 5: The applicant will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
  • Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
  • Step 7: Log in using the username and password.
  • Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload necessary documents and submit.

  • Income Certificate (Issued by Tahsildar)
  • Cast Certificate
  • Mark sheet for last appeared examination
  • Mark sheet for SSC or HSC
  • Father date Certificate (if required)
  • Gap & Self Declaration (if required)
  • Hostel Certificate (if required)
  • Husband Income Certificate (if the girl is married)
