HTET 2019 Notification and Dates (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test)

HTET 2019 (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) entrance test organized by Government of Haryana State. The HTET 2019 notification will soon be published officially so that those who are interested to become the part of this competitive examination may come up and join the test. It is conducted by Haryana School of Board Education (HSBE). HTET 2019 is conducted for the post of PRT, TGT, PGT teachers in the state. This is purely a state-level examination commences every year for those who wanted to build their career in teaching. HTET 2019 is commenced on three different levels which are as follows:

  • Level 1 is for those applicants who wanted to join as a Primary Teacher from class I to V.
  • Level 2 is for those applicants who wanted to join as Trained Graduate Teacher from classes VI to X
  • Level 3 is for those applicants who wanted to join as Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) from classes XI& XII

What is the HTET Exam?

The HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) Examination is conducted annually by the Haryana School of Board Education (HSBE) to recruit suitable applicants for the post of PRT, TGT, PGT teachers in the state. The HTET exam is mandatory to secure a teaching job in the state.

HTET 2019 Application Form

The HTET 2019 application form is available from the official website and from the website of Board of School Education Haryana. Applicants are required to apply via online mode. Make sure for visiting the main website and get the application form in order to apply for the exam.

The eligible applicants who fulfill eligibility criteria can apply for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2019 through online mode only through website www.hteonline.com / www.htet.nic.in

Apply online by accessing board’s website www.bseh.org.in or www.htet.nic.in

Carefully go through the Information Bulletin “Guidelines/Instructions-Scheme of Examination” available on the website of the board www.htet.nic.in.

Submitting Aadhar Card Number is desirable while applying for Online Application.

Proceed for remittance of examination fee through e-challan as per instructions are given on the aforesaid website of the Board.

Access/Login the website of the Board (www.bseh.org.in or www.htet.nic.in) and follow the instructions as mentioned in the column “How to Apply – Online Application Form”.

It is also essential that the applicants should mention their name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth as mentioned on their certificate of the secondary exam; mentioning Roll No. of Secondary Exam, year of qualifying Secondary Exam and Name of the Board are also essential.

Applicants are advised to keep one copy of Computer Generated Application Form (Confirmation Page) with them for future reference; there is no requirement to send any hard copy of any document including Computer Generated Application Form (Confirmation Page) to the Board.

Online submission of multiple applications for a particular Level to the Board will be viewed seriously; candidature of such applicants shall be liable to be canceled and the applicant may be debarred for the future exam(s) without making any correspondence in this regard.

Applicants shall be allowed to make online corrections in their particulars and subjects (Except Level & Category/Physically Challenged Option) and afterward no request will be entertained.

HTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Those who are applying for PRT must qualify D.ED Exam or JBT Exam.

If you are applying for TGT or Trained Graduate Teacher Level then ensure that you must have completed Graduation and B.ED according to relevant Subject.

While applying for PGT or Post Graduate Teacher Level, ensure that you must have completed Post Graduation and B.ED as per relevant Subject.

  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit is 38.

Minimum Educational Qualification:

For Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I):

Applicants for this category should have passed in Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with 45% marks with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education /4-year B.El.Ed /2-year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible (or);

Applicants with Bachelor Degree (50 % marks) and B.Ed qualification can also apply, or Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper-II):

Applicants for this category should have Bachelor Degree (B.Sc./B.A./B.Com etc.) applicants with 2-year D.Ed./ B.Ed (OR) 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed (Special Education) with 50% in BA or B.Sc. both Appearing & passed applicants are eligible.

For Lecturers of Class XI-XII:

Applicants for this category should possess the Post Graduate (PG) Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.

Qualifying Marks: 83 marks for SC/ PwD applicants and 90 marks for all others including other State applicants.

Application Fee Details

While applying for HTET 2019, applicants need to submit the application fee as well. The fee cost varies from one category to another. Given below are the details:

  • Those who belong to General/UR Category must pay Rs 600/-
  • Reserve category applicants must pay Rs 300/-
  • Other applicants and other states applicants need to make payment of Rs 600/-

HTET 2019 Selection Process

Applicant required to secure at least 60% marks only then he/she is eligible for HTET 2019 examination.

HTET 2019 Application Process to Apply

  • First of all, visit the main official website
  • Then choose the option name Online Application form filling.
  • Fill all the important details along with mandatory details asked by the exam authority
  • Upload the Scanned Photos and signature
  • As soon as uploading process gets over, check the details and if you find that details are apt then click the Submit button.
  • Once the application is filled, applicants are suggested to take the hard copy of the application form for further reference.

Syllabus for Level-1 Teacher for Classes I-V Primary Teacher follows below:

  • Questions are based entirely on topics mentioned for classes 1st to 5th. However, the level can be reached to the secondary stage as well.

Syllabus for Level-2 Teacher for Classes VI-VIII Elementary Stage follows below:

  • The questions in the question paper based on the topics of the syllabus of Board of School Education Haryana for classes from VI-VIII but the difficulty level may move up to the senior secondary stage

Syllabus for Level-3 Teacher for Classes IX-XII Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) follows below:

  • The questions in the test based on the topics of syllabus of Board of School Education Haryana for classes IX -XII, however, the level of difficulty can be raised up to Post Graduation level.

HTET 2019 Exam Pattern

Check out HTET Exam Pattern 2019, the examination is based on pen and paper mode.

The questions will be Multiple Choice Questions. One mark each awarded for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking.

  • Level 1- Primary Teacher for classes 1st to 5th
  • Exam time duration will be two and a half hours.
  • There will be one paper consisting of Multiple Choice Questions. For every correct answer, one will receive one mark. Choose one correct option from four options.
  • Child Development and Pedagogy 30 questions for 30 Marks
  • Languages (Hindi 15 MCQs and English 15 MCQs), 30 questions for 30 Marks
  • General Studies (Quantitative Aptitude 10 MCQs, Reasoning Ability 10 MCQs and Haryana G.K and Awareness 10 MCQs), 30 questions for 30 Marks
  • Mathematics, 30 questions for 30 Marks
  • Environment Studies, 30 questions for 30 Marks

Level 2- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) from VI-VIII:

Exam time duration will be two and a half hours

There will be one paper consisting of Multiple Choice Questions. For every correct answer, one will receive one mark. Choose one correct option from four different options.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy, 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Languages (Hindi 150 MCS and English 15 MCQs), 30 questions for 30 marks
  • General Studies (Quantitative Aptitude 10 questions, Reasoning Ability 10 questions, and Haryana G.K and Awareness, 10 questions), 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Subject Specified as opted, 60 questions for 60 Marks

Level 3, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):

Exam time duration will be two and a half hours. There will be one paper consisting of Multiple Choice Questions. For every correct answer, one will receive one mark. Choose one correct option from four different options.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy, 30 questions for 30 marks
  • Languages (Hindi 150 MCS and English 15 MCQs), 30 questions for 30 marks
  • General Studies (Quantitative Aptitude, 10 questions, Reasoning Ability 10 questions, and Haryana G.K and Awareness 10 questions),30 questions for 30 marks
  • Subject Specified as opted, 60 questions for 60 Marks

Marks needed for the Qualifying exam:

  • For all categories except SC, Differently abled or Physically Challenged of other States, it is 60% or 90 Marks
  • For SC, Differently abled or Physically Challenged by Haryana Domicile, it is 55% or 82 Marks
  • For SC, Differently abled or Physically Challenged by other States, it is 60% or 90 Marks

HTET 2019 Admit Card

HTET Admit card 2019 can be downloaded from the main website. Take the print out of the card to carry along with at the examination center on exam day. This card has consisted of all the personal information. You must carry along with you otherwise you will not be permitted to appear in the entrance test.

HTET 2019 Answer key

The answer key will be published soon after the exam gets over. Download the answer key from the main official portal. One gets the estimation of the way question paper is handled.
