Karunya Varsham Scholarship 2016
The total numbers of 50 seats reserved in this category are distributed as shown below:
- Civil: 06 seats
- Computer: 13 seats
- Electrical & Electronics: 6 seats
- Electronics & Comm.: 13 seats
- Mechanical: 12 seats
Out of the above 50 seats, one seat in each branch is reserved for Syro Malabar Catholic community.
Applicants who have secured 60% marks in plus one can apply for the scheme.
Rank list for KVS (50 seats) will be based on marks in KVS Examination (weightage of 50 out of 100) and PCM marks obtained in Plus 2 (weightage of 50 out of 100). No supplementary allotment will be made in case any applicants cancel his/her admission.
The selected students should qualify to get admission in LMCST either through government quota or through management quota for B.tech course during 2016-17.
If applicants more than the KVS free seats get admitted for a particular branch, their eligibility for fee waiver will be determined by their KVS rank list.
A minimum cut off mark of 85% (normalised) in plus two (PCM) and 70% in KVS exam are required to be ranked in the selection list of 50 applicants.
For subsequent years the scholarship will continue, provided the student clears all the subjects in each semester in the first attempt.
Exam Pattern and Syllabus
Duration of Exam: 02 hours; total marks-100; total number of questions- 100 (Objective Type); no negative marking will be made.
Physics (15 marks), Chemistry (15 marks), Maths (20 marks) (Plus 2 level): 50 Marks
English Language: 25 Marks
General Knowledge: 10 Marks
Mental Ability/Test of Reasoning: 15 Marks

Announcement of KVS Exam Result: May 21st 2016
Last date for Submission of plus two marks: 3 days from the date of declaration of +2 results
