MAH MCA CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The Applicant should fulfill the following eligibility criteria: Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of Applicants of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree.
Such Applicants can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of Applicants of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Eligibility Criteria for admission to Maharashtra State Applicants through CAP:
a) First Year MCA
Applicants should be an Indian National and should posses basic qualification.
Appeared and qualification qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA -MCA CET 2018.
b) Second Year MCA for Lateral Entry/Separate Division
Applicant should be an Indian National & possess basic qualification prescribed in computer application, Computer science or Science (IT/Computer) i.e. BCA, BCS or Bachelor of Science (IT/Computer) spread and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2018.
Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2018.
Eligibility Criteria for Admissions to OMS Applicants:
Applicants should be an India National and should possess basic qualification as specified in rule no 2.1 and appeared and qualified in AIMCET 2018 for seeking admission to MCA; or Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2018.
Eligibility Criteria for admission to J&K Migrant Applicant:
Applicant should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification as specified and Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2018.
Eligibility Criteria for admissions against seats for NRI /Foreign National/PIO/Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries:
Basic educational qualification as specified and Appeared and qualified in AIMCET 2018 or; Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance test MHA-MCA-CET 2018 or; any other equivalent entrance examination conducted for the academic year 2018.
MHA MCA CET Eligibility Criteria for Minority/Institute Level seats:
a) First Year MCA
Applicant must be an Indian National and must possess basic qualification as specified and Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MHA-MCA-CET 2018 (OR) Appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance test MHA-MCA-CET 2018 (OR) Any other equivalent entrance examination conducted for the academic year 2018.
MAH MCA CET Application Form 2018 | Registration
MAH MCA CET Availability of Information Brochure along with Application Kit: The Director of Technology Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for MCA for the year 2018.
Maharashtra MCA Application Kit for the aspiring Applicants will be available at the select Axis Bank Branches mentioned below only during working hours of the respective Axis Bank Branches as per schedule (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees.
Application form processing fees are to be paid at the identified Axis Bank branches in cash only, through pay-in-slip.
The Applicant can also do online payment of the fees by internet payment, credit card/debit card payment gateway for which the service charges, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees.
No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
The application fee for open category Applicants from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J&K Migrant Applicants and NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Students/PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Applicants Rs.750/-.
Applicants of backward class categories (SC/ST/VJDT/NT (A)/NT (B)/NT (C)/NT (D)/OBC/SBC) belonging to Maharashtra State only Rs.550/-.
Maharashtra State and J&K Migrant Applicants who wish to apply against OMS based are required to purchase only single MHA MCA CET 2018 Application Kit; this is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
Late registration facility is provided to those aspiring Applicants who could not register for CET within schedule time; such Applicants need to apply through online mode only by paying additional late fees of Rs.1000/- at www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mca2018 through net banking/Credit Cards/Debit Cards.
MAH MCA CET Exam Pattern 2018
- Test Duration: 90 minutes
- Medium of CET: English
- Mode of Exam: Online
MAH MCA CET 2018 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra & outside Maharashtra State. The cities in which MAH MCA CET 2018 will be conducted are designated as “Centre” for the CET.
Each center may have many “Venues” depending upon the number of applicants appearing at that centre.
MAH-MCA-CET 2018 will be conducted Online at all examination centers which will include multiple choice objective type questions (MCQs), using standardized equivalent – percentage method will be equating scores across the session.
The question paper for the CET will be set in English only. Translation in any other languages will not be available. Maharashtra online CET 2018 would be comprised of two online papers of 200 Marks each of 90 minutes duration.
Maharashtra MCA Online CET 2018 Entrance Exam duration is 90 minutes viz, General Aptitude (GA), Computer Concepts (CC).
MHA MCA CET 2018 will have Negative Mark system. Each correct answer will carry 4 marks. Each wrong answer will carry 0.5 negative marks. Unanswered questions will carry zero marks. Unanswered questions will carry 0.5 marks.
The syllabus & sample question paper is available on the website and also in the online brochure. Each paper has 25 questions and is expected to be completed in 90 minutes.
