MGM Institute of Health Sciences Nursing CET 2016 for BSc MSc Nurisng Courses
MGM Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS) has invited applications for admissions to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing Programs through a Common Entrance Test (CET) for 2016-17 sessions at Navi Mumbai and Aurangabad.
Seats and Courses Offered
Undergraduate Courses: B.Sc Nursing (Duration: 4 years) – Number of Seats: 50, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (Duration: 2 years) – Number of Seats: 30
Post Graduate Course: M.Sc Nursing (Medical Surgical Nursing) (Duration: 2 years) – Number of Seats: 10
Post Basic Diploma Program (One year): Post Basic Diploma Program in Critical Care Nursing (20 Seats); Neonatal Nursing (20 Seats); Operation Room Nursing (20 Seats); Cardio Thoracic Nursing (20 Seats); Emergency and Disaster Nursing (20 Seats).
For B.Sc Nursing: Applicant should have passed in the subject of PCB & English Core/English Elective individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB in the qualifying exam i.e. (10+2) from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or equivalent Board.
Applicants passed 10+2 exam in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks. Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST applicants.
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission to be sought.
For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: Applicants should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.
General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as RNRM with the State Nurses Registration Council.
Equivalency of foreign nursing qualification from Indian Nursing Council in case GNM from Foreign countries
For M.Sc Nursing: Applicant should be a Registered Nurse & Registered midwife of equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Hons Nursing /Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, from a recognized hospital of minimum 100 bed’s capacity or a community health setup or a recognized nursing educational institution.
For Post Basic Diploma Program: Be a registered nurse (R.N. & R. M.) or equivalent. Possess a minimum of one-year experience as a staff nurse. Nurses from other countries must obtain an equivalence certificate from INC before admission.
Exam Pattern for MGM CET (NURSING)

The examination will be conducted in English.
The syllabi of CET examination are based on the qualifying exams for respective course.
Nature of the Exam shall be Objective and Multiple Choice Questions.
There will be only one question paper having 100 MCQ for 100 Marks.
Selection to a course/college will be made as per merit cum preference given by the applicant. Selection will be on the basis of merit and the preference form submitted by the applicant.
Applicant shall have to appear personally and must produce original certificates at the time of admission and a set of attested photocopy of each of the document as per the list mentioned in the application form.
