NEET MDS 2019: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) MDS 2019 is a National level exam conducted by NBE (National Board of Examinations) for admission to MDS Courses in various Government and Private Dental Colleges across the Country. NEET MDS 2019 is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various post-graduate MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948. NEET MDS 2019 (All India PG Dental Entrance Exam)

NEET MDS 2019 is a single window entrance examination for All Dental PG Courses 2019 Admission Session. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS Courses.

National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct NEET-MDS on an All-India Basis for admission to various MDS Courses at various Dental Colleges /Institutions of the country.

What is the Scope of NEET MDS ?

NEET MDS 2019 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance exam namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Dental Courses’ for the academic session 2018 which will include the following:

  • All India 50% quota seats for MDS courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  • State quota seats for MDS Courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & and Telangana)
  • MDS Diploma courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Institutions & Universities all across the country
  • MDS courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions

NEET MDS 2019 Exam Date

  • Availability of Application Form: October 2018
  • Last Date of Filling up of Application Form: October to November 2018
  • NEET MDS 2019 Exam Date: January 2019
  • Declaration of NEET MDS 2019 Results at ( by January 31st 2019

NEET MDS 2019 Application Form

The online application form of NEET MDS 2019 will be released on October 2018 to November 2018. Applicants are advised to carefully go through the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form. The last date for online registrations is November 2018.

The requisite application fee for NEET MDS 2019 will be Rs.3750/- for General and OBC Applicants and Rs.2750/- for SC/ST/PWD Applicants, which has to be paid online via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

Applicants are informed that any indulgence in unfair means shall be viewed very seriously and the candidature of such Applicant shall be cancelled at the bare threshold.

Step 1: Profile Creation

Applicants applying for the first time on NBE Website will be asked to create a profile. Applicants who have applied earlier can use their login details. They will be asked to enter a Captcha for security reasons

  • Enter the full name as given in the BDS certificates
  • Enter your contact information, such as valid email ID, Contact Number, and Address. The information will be further used for communication purposes.
  • Fill in other data like Gender, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name
  • Enter a login name and password for login purposes
  • Read the Data Privacy Policy and agree to the terms and conditions
  • Upload their photograph and digital signature for successful completion of profile.

Step 2: Filling of Application

The first step in filling up of NEET MDS Application Form is selection of the exam from the drop down. Applicants must opt for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Master of Dental Surgery to proceed

Applicants will be taken to the personal information page and asked to fill in the below details:

  • Category of the Applicant
  • Quota Applied for based on eligibility – Applicants can select from All India 50% Quota, State Quota

Applicants will be asked to fill the Educational Details like BDS Exam and Internship Details. It is mandatory to upload a Government Proof and DCI Certificate for verification purposes.

NEET MDS 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The NEET MDS 2019 eligibility criteria for Admission to MDS courses as per MDS Course Regulations 2017 notified by Dental Council of India with prior approval of MoHFW is as follows:

Applicant for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognized degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgeryawarded by a University or Institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of one year in an approved/recognized Dental College.

The cutoff date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in NEET MDS 2019 shall be 31st March 2019.

Applicant for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/ recognised dental college.

Applicant who after passing the final qualifying exam (BDS or the foreign dental degree recognized by GOI/DCI), is undergoing 12-month compulsory rotatory internship/ practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31st March 2019 can take up this exam, but he/she shall not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before 31st March 2019 or the Applicant produces a certificate from the head of Institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31st March 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for All India 50% Quota Seats:

The eligibility criteria for All India 50% quota seats is as follows:

Applicants who have studied/passed BDS from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 50% All India Quota seats. However, the Applicants who were nominated by the Govt. of India (under central pool seats) to do BDS from Dental Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible to apply

Such Applicants must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that he/she was nominated by the Govt. of India (under central pool seats) to do BDS from Dental Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir to the following address along with the print out of the acknowledgement of submission of online application for NEET MDS 2019 latest by 30th November 2018

Who are not eligible to apply under this category?

Applicants who have done their BDS from Jammu & Kashmir but fail to submit the affidavit as indicated above will not be considered for participation in All India 50% quota counseling.

NEET MDS 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

As per MDS course Regulations 2017: It is not mandatory for foreign nationals to have temporary registration with DCI at the time of writing NEET-MDS. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-MDS without DCI registration. Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the following procedure shall be followed:

The Council may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the post-graduate training restricted to the dental college/institution to which he or she is admitted for the time being exclusively for post-graduate studies

Eligibility Criteria for NRI in NEET MDS 2019

The definitions of NRIs, OCI and PIOs shall be in accordance with order of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

The dates indicated by Applicants with regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and Applicants will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of counseling.

No condonation of internship of 12 months period shall be accepted except (i) the students of the batch admitted during academic session 2007-08 and have completed 4 ½ year BDS course alongwith 06 months compulsory rotating internship and (ii) the students admitted during the academic session 2006-07 at Rajah Muthiah Dental College, Annamalai University those have completed 05 years BDS course without internship.

The cutoff date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in NEET MDS 2019 shall be 31st March 2019.

NEET MDS 2019 Application Fee

  1. General/OBC Applicants – Rs.3750/-
  2. SC/ST/PWD Applicants – Rs.2750/-

The fee for the examination has to be remitted through payment gateway, at the time of online registration, using a credit card or debit card issued by Banking in India or through online banking.

NEET MDS 2019 Admit Card

  • NEET MDS 2019 Admit Card will be available from November 2018.
  • Applicants can obtain their NEET MDS Admit Card in online mode only.
  • Login into your Applicant’s profile, using registration number and password to download NEET MDS 2019 hall ticket.
  • The admit card contains personal details and exam related details such as test venue, session.
  • It is a provisional document and must be supported at the test center with a valid photo id issued by Govt of India.
