Division of Computer Engineering (COE) & Division of IT: Internet and Web Technologies, Image Processing, Distributed and Parallel Processing, Network Security, Opportunistic Networks, Cloud Computing, Sensor Networks, Video processing, Digital watermarking, Mobile Computing.
Division of Instrumentation & Control Engineering (ICE): Power Electronics, Industrial Drives, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Control, Intelligent Modeling of Non-Linear Systems, Biometrics & Bioinformatics, Intelligent instrumentation, Intelligent Control of Shaker System, FPGA Applications in Instrumentation, Distillation Process, Image Processing, Biomedical Instrumentation, Electrical Drives, Power Quality.
Division of Manufacturing Processing & Automation Engineering (MPAE): Manufacturing, CAD/CAM, Product Design, Unconventional Machining Methods ECDM/ECM/DEM/USM etc, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Management, Product Design.
Division of Biotechnology: Bio-remediation & Novel therapeutics and Antimicrobial agents.
School of Applied Sciences (SAS): Mathematics (General relativity and cosmology, Complex Analysis, Approximation Theory and Operator Theory, Fluid Mechanics, Biomechanics); Chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Technology); Physics (Material Science, Electrostrictive Materials).
Applicants should be have passed a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (ECE, ICE, MPAE) Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology in accordance with Ordinance VI-B, University of Delhi (displayed on Institute website) securing 70% or more marks in aggregate.
The applicants possessing master degree with 60% or more marks that are eligible for PhD degree as per ordinance VI B of University.
A written test will be organized on department level (Irrespective of with/without fellowship) which will have multiple-choice questions of one-hour duration.
Selection of the short listed applicants after written test shall be made by the selection committee of the respective dept; the final selection will be made on the basis of the performance of the applicant in written test, power point presentation (7 to 10 minutes on any area of his/her interest preferably research area) and Interview.
Interviews will be held as per Admission schedule available on website.
Applicants selected for admission to the PhD Program will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for PhD registration as per University Rules and will have to complete the course work as per the ordinance VI B of University of Delhi.

Complete Application Form along with attested photocopies of certificate/testimonials, two self-addressed envelops (size 25 x 11cm) for communication, two address slips and a Demand Draft (DD)/pay order of Rs.1000/- (non-refundable) in favour of “Director, NSIT, New Delhi-110078”, payable at Andhra Bank, NSIT Branch, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078, should reach to the office of Deputy.
Please write your name, address and Tele number at the back of the demand draft/pay order; separate application form should be submitted for each programme/division.
Incomplete application will not be considered and treated as cancelled.
