National Level Science Talent Search Examination 2020 | NSTSE 2020 Notification

NSTSE 2020 Notification: The Unified Council, Hyderabad has invited applications for National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) 2020 from students who wish to assess their strengths, Weaknesses and nourish their minds for a bright and enterprising future.

Last date for receipt of applications on October 05th, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for NSTSE Exam 2020

  • Students of classes I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI (PCM), XI (PCB), XII (PCM), XII (PCB) are eligible to participate in this examination.
  • There is no exam for 11, 12 PCMB group.
  • Class -1 Student is requested to apply through respective schools only.

NSTSE 2020 Exam Date

  • Availability of Application Forms June 2019
  • Last date of Application Forms: October 05th, 2019
  • Availability of Hall ticket for download First week of December 2019
  • Date of Examination: 04th December 2019 (Individual/ Direct Applicants 15th December 2019)
  • Uploading of Answer Key: Second week of December 2019 onward
  • Declaration of Result: Third week of January 2020

NSTSE Application Form 2020

Interested and eligible applicants can apply through online and can also download the application form from the official website of National Level Science Talent Search Examination www.unifiedcouncil.com

Students can get a Free Printed Registration Form from office by writing a letter along with a self-addressed envelope with stamps of Rs.5/- (or).

Students can also download the Registration Form from website and send the filled-in application form along with a crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.200/- of any nationalized bank drawn in favor of Unified Council payable at Hyderabad required enclosures to Unified Council, #16-11-16/1/B, Saleem Nagar, Farhat Hospital Road, Malakpet, Hyderabad-500036.

NSTSE 2020 Selection Procedure

The Selection would be based on the written examination. The exam would test the Science and Mathematics ability of the students.

NSTSE 2020 Exam Pattern

There will be a separate question paper for each class and the exam would be in the English language. There will be objective type questions of one mark each and no negative marking for wrong answers.

NSTSE Exam will be of 90 minutes.

  • There will be a different Question Paper for each class. This exam pattern is taken from the last year information brochure, so the candidates are advised to take this information for reference only.
  • All the questions are objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.
    • Class 2 –  50 questions of  50 marks 
    • Classes 3 to 12 – 60 questions of 60 Marks
  • Duration of the examination for all classes 90 minutes

Classes II

  • Mathematics – 25
  • General Science – 25

For Classes III & V:

  • Mathematics – 25
  • General Science – 30
  • Critical Thinking – 05

For Classes VI to X:

  • Mathematics – 25
  • Physics – 10
  • Chemistry – 10
  • Biology – 10
  • Critical Thinking – 05

For Classes XI & XII (PCM)

  • Mathematics – 25
  • Physics – 15
  • Chemistry – 15
  • Critical Thinking – 05

For Classes XI & XII (PCB)

  • Biology – 25
  • Physics – 15
  • Chemistry – 15
  • Critical Thinking – 05
  • NSTSE will be based on the CBSE syllabus and 75% of the Syllabus considered for setting the NSTSE Question Paper. NSTSE Question Papers are also suitable for Students of ICSE/ISC and Various State Board/Matriculation Syllabi.

  • Students desirous of referring to previous years’ Question Papers should add fees (will be updated soon) for a set of Question Papers (This set is a combination of previous NSTSE Question Papers and Model Question Papers).

NSTSE 2020 Exam Fee

  • Registration through School
  • Please send a single consolidated Demand Draft for the exam fee of all the students appearing for the NSTSE from your school DD should be drawn in favor of UNIFIED COUNCIL payable at HYDERABAD. Frame the list of students in the FORMAT (preferably typed and send it to our address along with the D.D by Courier Service/Register post / Speed Post

Registration Options

Option 1 (Class 2-12)

  • NSTSE Registration: Fee – Rs.300 + 18% GST
  • Option 2: (For class 2-10) – NSTSE Registration + Online Preparation Packages (at a discounted price): Fee: Rs.700 + 18% GST
  • Option 3: (For class 2-10) – NSTSE Registration + Online Preparation Packages (at a discounted price): Fee: Rs.1000 + 18% GST

  • Examination Fee + Student’s Performance Report (SPR) + 2 Previous Question Papers (PQP) – Downloadable E-book + Downloadable E-book- Success Series Book, postage for sending the Certificate + Online payment service charges.

Option 2 (For class 2-10)

  • NSTSE Registration + Online Preparation Packages (at a discounted price): Fee – Rs.700 + GST 18%
  • This registration fee of Rs. 700 + GST 18%  includes 
  • Examination fee + Online Olympiad preparation package (Chapter-wise preparation) for Math and Science from www.mapmystep.com for getting a grip on these subjects & pattern of questions asked in NSTSE.

Option 3 (For class 2-10)

  • NSTSE Registration + Online Preparation Packages (at a discounted price): Fee Rs.1000 + GST 18%
  • This registration fee of Rs.1000 + GST18% includes
  • Examination fee + Online Olympiad preparation package (Chapter-wise preparation) for Math and Science from www.mapmystep.com for getting a grip on these subjects & pattern of questions asked in NSTSE with Mock Test (About 50 tests for Maths and 50 tests for Science)
