PG Diploma in Public Health Management Admission 2017 at PGIMER Chandigarh – Eligibility, Application Form, Selection Procedure, Important Dates, Entrance Exam and more details
Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh has invited application from eligible applicants for admission to one year Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) Programme for July 2017-18 sessions.
No. of Seats: 10 (Ten)
These seats are only for sponsored applicants from all states and union territory of India. One state/Union Territory can sponsor any number of applicants.
Applicants should possess only MBBS degree with three year experience as General Duty Medical Officer (GDMOs) in the State Govt. Health Services preferably in the delivery of Public Health Service. Applicant applying for admission is required to furnish the following certificates from his/her employer for admission to the course:
i) That the applicant concerned is a permanent or regular employee of the State Govt. Dept. / Institute / Medical College – the deputing/sponsoring authority for the last at least three years.
ii) That after getting the training at PGIMER, Chandigarh the applicant will be suitably employed by the deputing/sponsoring authority to work in the specialty in which the training is received by the applicant at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
iii) That no financial implication in the form of emoluments stipend etc. will devolve upon PGIMER, Chandigarh during the entire period of his/her course.
Applicants will be considered for selection to Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) course based on a theory paper consisting of 100 multiple choice question (MCQs) with five alternatives each and single/multiple correct responses. Negative marks will be given for incorrect responses marked.
The duration of this competitive entrance exam, to be conducted at Chandigarh is one & hour. The theory paper will consist of questions pertaining to public health.
The question paper has 100 questions, each with five response options. Hence there are a total of 500 response options. One or more of these five options can be correct for each question.
The question paper therefore has some number of correct responses (say a) and incorrect responses (say b, such that a+b=500). Applicant would mark a proportion of these responses as being correct.
No TA/DA shall be paid to applicants for attending this interview. Admission to PGDPHM course will close on 31st July for July session.
The following fees etc. will be payable to PGIMER by applicants/sponsors admitted to the course:
a) Registration Fee: Rs. 500/-
b) Training Fee / Tuition Fee: Rs. 350/- P.A
c) Laboratory Fee: Rs. 900/- P.A
d) Security: Rs.1000/- (refundable only after completion of the course)
e) Security of hostel: Rs. 5000/- (Refundable) to be Accommodation (if allotted) deposited with the Hostel Manager
f) Amalgamated Fund: Rs. 60/- per month
PGIMER PGD PHM Admission 2017 Application Procedure
The Applicant should fill his/her online application form available on PGIMER website i.e. www.pgimer.edu.in. He/she should fill all the fields/columns of the form. No fields/columns should be left blank. After filling application form, the applicant should deposit the application fee through challan form (triplicate) in any branch of SBI.
Applicants can go to any Branch of State Bank of India with the fee Payment Challan duly filled in and pay the prescribed Application Fee in the “Power Jyoti” PUL current account of PGIMER.
The Challan form is required to be filled up in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account No. 32211613319 and those applicants who have SBI account can also pay their fee through i-collect service of SBI and I-collect Account No. is 32222954695.
In that case the INB reference No. will have to be mentioned instead of Challan No. in the application form. The fees for said course is Rs.1000/- (The applicants should write his/her name, Address, contact number and course name in which he /she is applying, on the back of challan form). Fee once deposited is non refundable.
No representation/request /demand for refund of application fees will be entertained if the applicant fails to apply within the stipulated time after payment of application fee.
Applicants must note that no other form of payment of application fees like Demand Draft, Banker Cheque, Money order, Postal order, etc. will not be accepted under any circumstances, and any application form without a copy of the Challan will be rejected without any further correspondence with the applicants.
PGIMER PGD PHM Admission 2017 Important Dates
Dates for Submission of Online Applications & Generation of Challan Forms/Payment from i-collect is from May 15th to June 14th 2017
State Bank of India will accept the fees of those applicants whose challan form is generated on or before June 14th 2017 upto 15.59 hours on June 17th 2017
Date of Entrance Exam: July 09th 2017 at 10:00 AM
Declaration of Result: July 10th 2017 at 09.00 AM
Counseling/Interview: July 13th 2017 at 03.00 PM
