Panjab University PU CET 2019 for BSc Hons and B.Pharma Admission
PU CET 2019 Notification: Panjab University Chandigarh have been invited online application for Admission to B.Sc. (Hons) (Credit Based Semester System), B.Pharmacy at Panjab University Campus for the academic session 2019.
PUCET is referred to as e Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) it is a University Level Entrance Exam of Chandigarh State. The official authority of Panjab University conducts PUCET 2019 entrance exam.
The UG Exam will be held on April 30th, 2019. Through this exam, applicants can get into B.Pharmacy and B.Sc. (Hons.) Courses. PUCET 2019 entrance exam is conducted by authority once a year.

PU CET 2019 Application Form
All the desirous applicants seeking admission for Course at Sr. 1, 2 above should follow the website https://cetug.puchd.ac.in for procedures and guidelines for admissions. No letter will be issued for the purpose.
The information will be made available on the website on or before the last date of declaration of result. The online registration link is available on https://cetug.puchd.ac.in/registration.php.
Admission Form for B.Pharm (credit based Semester System) and B.Sc (Hons. School) shall be available online on Panjab University website (https://cetug.puchd.ac.in) after the declaration of result of PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test.
Applicants desirous of seeking admission under the category of Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / NRI seats to B.Pharm (credit based Semester System) and B.Sc. (Honours School) courses, who are present in India at the time of the test, will compete amongst themselves by appearing in the PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test 2019.
Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / NRI applicants, those living abroad at the time of entrance test will be exempted from the entrance test.

(Hons School) in Botany (20 for open & 03 for FN/PIO/NRI); Zoology (25 for open & 04 for FN/PIO/NRI); Anthropology (30 for open & 04 for FN/PIO/NRI); Biochemistry (30 for open; 04 for FN/PIO/NRI); Biophysics (25 for open; 04 for FN/PIO/NRI); Biotechnology (15 for open; 02 for FN/PIO/NRI); Chemistry (58 for open; 08 for FN/PIO/NRI); Geology (30 for open; 04 for FN/PIO/NRI); Mathematics (40 for open; 06 for FN/PIO/NRI); Microbiology (30 for open; 04 for FN/PIO/NRI); Physics (40 for open; 06 for FN/PIO/NRI); Physics & Electronics (20 for Open; 03 for FN/PIO/NRI); Zoology (25 for open; 04 for FN/PIO/NRI).
5% concession is admissible in eligibility marks to SC /ST/BC/PwD applicants.
Eligibility Criteria for PU CET 2019
All those applicants who have passed/appeared (up to the Academic Session 2017-2019) in the 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test 2019. The admission of applicants for the PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall be provisional. It shall stand cancelled, if they fail to satisfy the requisite eligibility conditions as required by the concerned institution(s)/University by the date fixed for the purpose.
The applicants having the compartment in 10+2 examination held in 30th April 2019 will not be eligible for admission in the course. The applicants who do not appear in PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test or who do not qualify PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall not be considered for admission.
Special arrangements for amanuensis (writer of the answer):
The applicant may be allowed help of an amanuensis (writer) if he/she is:
- Blind or;
- Permanently disabled from writing with his/her own hand.
- Temporarily disabled from writing on account of fracture of the right or left arm, forearm or dislocation of a shoulder elbow or wrist etc. The applicant shall produce a certificate from a Professor of the specialty concerned of a Medical College and where there is no Medical College, from the Chief Medical Officer of the District concerned to the effect that the applicant is unable to write his/her answer-books because of the temporary disablement
A person who shall attain the age of 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission and has passed 10+2 exam from the recognized Board/Bodies/Councils or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10+2 exam by the Panjab University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology after qualifying the entrance test shall be eligible to join the first class of the course.
Only Indian Citizens are eligible for admission except in the NRI quota seats.
Reservation of Physically Handicapped person has been provided for persons i.e. (1st preference to the applicants suffering from Locomotor disabilities of Lower Limbs between 50% – 70%, 02nd preference will be given to the applicants suffering from Locomotor Disabilities of Lower Limbs between 40% – 50%.
Admission will be made under the criteria laid down by the Chandigarh Administration/Panjab University Chandigarh.
B.Sc (Hons. School Semester System) in various teaching Depts.:
Botany, Zoology: Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Anthropology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Physics & Electronics: Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/ BC) with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology.
Biochemistry, Microbiology: Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/ BC) with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology.
Biotechnology, Biophysics: Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/ BC) with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology/Biotechnology/ Computer Science
Mathematics: Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/ BC) with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
B.Pharm (Credit based Semester System):
50% marks in 10+2 (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC applicants) with English, Physics, Chemistry and one of the following subjects: Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics.
PU Common Entrance Test (PUCET 2019)
The result of the entrance test shall, IPSO FACTO, not entitled the applicant to get admission in an institution/dept concerned where he/she intends to seek admission.
It will be the total responsibility of the applicant to mark sure about his/her eligibility and fulfillment of such other conditions as may be prescribed for admission in the rules and regulations of university institute concerned merely test does not mean that he/she is eligible and his/her appearance therein will not stop or debar the university/ institution concerned from satisfying itself about his/her eligibility at any subsequent state.
The PU CET (UG) Entrance test will be held at Chandigarh only on April 30th, 2019.
In no case, the fee for the entrance test once paid, shall be refunded.
No application form will be received under any circumstances after the closing of the last date.
The test will be conducted in the subjects of, (i) Physics, (ii) Chemistry (iii) Biology (iv) Mathematics (v) Biotechnology and (vi) Computer Sciences as per date sheet.
For every wrong answer, 25% i.e. ¼ marks allotted to the question will be deducted.
- Paper-I Mathematics: 60 questions, 02 marks, total 120 marks; duration 70 minutes.
- Paper-II Chemistry: 60 questions, 02 marks, total 120 marks; duration 70 minutes.
- Paper-III Physics: 60 questions, 02 marks, total 120 marks; duration 70 minutes.
- Paper-IV Biology: 60 questions, 02 marks, total 120 marks; duration 70 minutes.
The syllabi of Entrance Test are as per the CBSE Syllabi for 10+1 and 10+2 for the session; the applicant will be required to choose a suitable combination of subjects depending on his/her choice of the course(s) and subjects he/she has studied in 10 +2. Possible combinations are PCB /PCM / M.
The medium of examination shall be English only.
The applicants shall be required to answer questions on the OMR Answer-Sheet provided for the purpose only; the applicants shall be required to hand over their OMR answer-sheets and the question booklet to the Centre Superintendent even if they have not attempted any question.
30 minutes extra should be given to the visually handicapped / physically handicapped applicants (as approved by the Vice-Chancellor).
The result of the PU CET (UG) 2019 will be made available on the University website www.results.puchd.ac.in as well as in the Enquiry Office of the University.
