Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun has been invited applications for admission to Master’s Course in Wildlife Science during 2017.
Seats: 20 meritorious students will be admitted to this course, which includes 15 Indian and 05 foreign nationals. The break-up of seats (15) for Indian nationals will be as follows: General Candidates – 08; SC Candidates – 02; ST Candidate – 01; OBC Candidates – 04.

Eligibility for Wildlife Institute of India Dehradun MSc Admission 2017
Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Social Science, Computer Science and Computer Applications or degrees recognized as equivalent thereof (must have studied in Science stream at Higher Secondary Education Board or other equivalent board).
Minimum of 15 years of formal education (either 10+2+3 or 11+2+2)
Minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree. Applicant must produce result along with mark sheet of their graduation at the time of their personality and aptitude test, failing which their candidature will be treated as cancelled. Shortlisted foreign candidates will be interviewed through audio or video conferencing following which their final selection will be made.

The date and time of the interview will be informed by email. Foreign nationals who do not have English as their native language should provide evidence of proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL Score) for admission to this course.
The TOEFL or IELTS score reports must not be more than two years since taking the Test to submission of the application.
A minimum TOEFL Score of 213 (computer based), 550 (paper based), or 79 (internet based), or minimum of 6.0 IELTS score is required. Age Limit: The age limit is 25 years as on 01st July 2016 with relaxation of 5 years for reserved candidates and for those candidates who are working in Forest and Wildlife Departments it is 35 years as on 01st July 2017
The Course Fee for the entire course is: Indian Nationals – INR 5,32, 800; SAARC Nationals – US $ 13,200; Other Nationals – US $ 14,400. The Institute provides full scholarship to eight Indian students based on their selection merit.
The scholarship covers academic fee, hostel accommodation fee and a monthly stipend; the breakup of the scholarships for Indian nationals will be: General – 04; SC – 01; ST – 01 and OBC – 02.
Other candidates (Indian and Foreign) selected will be treated as self-sponsored.
The self sponsored students would be required to pay the course fee in four equal instalments prior to commencement of each semester.

Interested applicants/applicants are advised to regularly check WII’s website for latest updates and link for online registration. The online registration process will be open w.e.f 02nd March 2017 to 15th April 2017.

Applicants will make the payment of application processing fee (Rs.1000/- only) through the prescribed “Payment Gateway”.
All eligible foreign applicants are required to pay an application-processing fee of US$ 200 or equivalent. However, SAARC nationals are required to pay US$ 100 or equivalent.
